Serving Tray

A serving tray is a shallow platform designed for carrying things. It can be fashioned from numerous materials, including silver, brass, sheet iron, paperboard, wood, melamine, and molded pulp. Serving trays range in cost from inexpensive molded pulp trays which are disposable, to inexpensive melamine trays used in cafeterias, to mid-priced wooden trays used in a home, to expensive silver serving trays used in luxury hotels. Some serving tray examples have raised galleries, handles, and short feet for support.

I always thought it was a little to early to start thinking about Christmas decorations in November, although some places seem to bust out the holiday gear right after Halloween! I do have one exception to that rule however: Advent Calendars! Finding that perfect gift for someone can definitely add a huge amount of stress to a season that is supposed to be all about giving and all the feel goods. This year we are going to try to skip the store lines as much as possible and try our hand at some homemade gifts. We are going to bring you as many ideas as possible to cover all kinds of friends and family on your shopping list. To start off we thought we would bring you a pretty easy idea : Soap.

Colorful Thanksgiving Ideas

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and there are sure to be tons of family gatherings happening in the next few weeks. While most Thanksgiving parties put all of the focus on the delicious food that has been prepared, we often overlook the decorations. I love the fall colors that are usually incorporated into Thanksgiving. The warm red, orange, and purples definitely get me feeling all toasty inside. I was noticing however, that those colors just don’t seem to fit in with the rest of the design scheme that we have going in our house. We are more bright and white at our house. I got to searching for some fall and Thanksgiving ideas that still keep the turkey but add some vibrant pinks and greens into the mix. These decoration ideas of course could also be adapted to fit the regular fall tones for a more traditional turkey day gathering, but wouldn’t they also be fun for the fast growing Friendsgiving tradition?! I just love the idea of dip dyed napkins and bold leaves hanging on the wall to set the mood for fun with family and friends. What do ya think? Ready to try something a little more bold this year?

I have always been a big believer in comfort foods. Mac and cheese, chicken noodle soup, and even ice cream are staples I would gladly eat any day of the week. But my all time favorite comfort food has to be a classic grilled cheese with a bowl of tomato soup. I am by no means a good cook, I can basically cook pasta and pour a can of sauce over it. But I have to admit that when it comes to grilled cheese, I am pretty awesome at cooking up the gooey cheesy goodness. So now that I have mastered the basic grilled cheese, I thought it was time I looked into upping my game on the griddle. I pretty much hate all things that are scary and gory with a passion. Halloween is definitely not one of my shining moments. I do however like parties! I mean as long as a clown holding a cleaver doesn’t jump out at any point during the party I should be fine. Halloween is just around the corner and with it comes the long held tradition of pumpkin patching! After walking through a field of endless choices of giant orange squashes, most people like to carve their new decoration. I have seen some pretty awesome carvings, but I have zero talent when it comes to sculpting a masterpiece. I’m a triangle eyes kind of girl. I also have to admit that orange just isn’t my favorite color and goes with absolutely nothing in my house! I thought this year we would try to give our pumpkins a chic makeover without the guaranteed horrible face job they would have if I carved them.
