Delicious Twists on Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

I have always been a big believer in comfort foods. Mac and cheese, chicken noodle soup, and even ice cream are staples I would gladly eat any day of the week. But my all time favorite comfort food has to be a classic grilled cheese with a bowl of tomato soup. I am by no means a good cook, I can basically cook pasta and pour a can of sauce over it. But I have to admit that when it comes to grilled cheese, I am pretty awesome at cooking up the gooey cheesy goodness. So now that I have mastered the basic grilled cheese, I thought it was time I looked into upping my game on the griddle. The holidays are right around the corner which means tons of baking is about to happen! Well , at least some households get to smell the warmth of fresh cookies being baked. I’m pretty terrible at baking and cooking in general, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a snazzy new apron! I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of Halloween. I am a huge scaredy-cat. I mean I start throwing punches when someone jumps out to scare me. The scariest movie I own is Pirate of the Caribbean and I still have nigh lights around the house. Granted the night lights are for my child, but I can’t say that I’m not a little less anxious with their presence. If there is one thing I do like about Halloween, it’s that sweets and candy are all but guaranteed on this day. I pretty much hate all things that are scary and gory with a passion. Halloween is definitely not one of my shining moments. I do however like parties! I mean as long as a clown holding a cleaver doesn’t jump out at any point during the party I should be fine. I do appreciate that Halloween has some of the most clever food concoctions out of all of the holidays, although some of them are a little too creepy for me.
